General Information: In Southeast Asia, Ambutan Rongrien, or Hairy Fruit, is eaten like lychee, mamoncillo, and longan, but it is rare. Its peel has modified spines that resemble curved, reddish hair, and its small, oval, delicious fruit has a grape pulp texture.

Cultivation Information: Flowering and fruits take 4–5 years, and the shrub needs modest care. It thrives in tropical heat.
