Mabugo, also known as Saba or Madd Fruit, is native to East Africa, particularly Tanzania. In arid areas, this plant grows as a small shrub, while in forests, it becomes a vigorous climber, with stems reaching up to 40 meters in length and 47 cm in diameter. It is cultivated in gardens for its ornamental and edible value. The yellow, ovoid fruit is about 7 cm long and 8 cm wide, containing a sweet, acidic pulp.
