How to Grow Polygala elongata / Periya Nangai Saplings:

  • Choose a site with well-drained soil and good fertility.
  • Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball and break up the surrounding soil so the roots can spread more easily.
  • If you are planting in a pot, choose one that is at least 12 inches wide and 12 inches high.
  • Set the small tree upright in the hole and gently cover its roots with soil, but do not pack tightly.
  • Water well upon planting and keep the plant in a part shade for a day or two to rest.
