General Information: Israeli Yellow Pitaya, a clone of red-fruited Hylocereus undatus, resembles red-skinned pitaya. It was dubbed Golden Pitaya to distinguish it from Selenicereus magalanthus, a Central American yellow relative. These long, spherical fruits are 9–12 centimeters long and 7–10 centimeters wide. Soft bracts or scales cover the thick skin, and green tips adorn the fleshy protrusions. The Israeli Yellow Pitaya has a luscious texture and a sweet, tropical flavor akin to kiwi or pear. The flesh is thick, translucent to white, and covered with tiny black edible seeds.

Growing Info: Bloom/Fruit: 1-2 years. Moderate upkeep needed. It thrives in sunny, well-drained soil.
