General Information

Origin: Southeast Asia, West Coast of India, Sri Lanka, Indochina, Malaysia, Indonesia, and New Guinea. Round, fleshy berries taste sour and starchy. Green turns red when juvenile, deep purple or black when adult. One round hard seed with yellowish pulp.

Cultivation

3-4 years to bloom/fruit. Moderate upkeep needed. Grows best in bright, indirect light indoors and partial shade outdoors. It should never be too wet or dry.
