General Information

This little evergreen bushy shrub grows 4-5 feet in the ground and 3-4 feet in a container in Central and South America, mainly Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador. It has fragrant huge white blooms and 3 cm × 2 cm subglobose fruits. Each fruit has a rich purple to black pulp-filled interior with a sweet and tart taste resembling blackberry jam.
