Botanical Name: Psidium guajava

General Information: Arka Kiran is a pink pulp guava cultivar with 200-220 grammes fruit weight and 9 kg/cm² medium soft seeds. TSS is 11-12 °Brix, and lycopene is 7.14 mg/100g in the fruits. This type may be harvested two years after planting and yields 20 tonnes per acre when spaced 4m x 3m after five years.

Growing Info: 1-2 Years to bloom/fruit. Low upkeep.

Uses/Benefits:

• Fresh guavas are eaten raw or sliced with sugar and cream as a dessert and are high in vitamins A, B, and C.
• Guavas provide 12% of the necessary fiber, aiding digestive health and regularity.
• Seeds are powerful laxatives when eaten whole or chewed.
